Radically Shared Aliveness

Transcript from an Interview with Vandana Shiva

For me, life is what flows between living beings. Life itself and aliveness is a shared quality, because it does not stay isolated in one being. It’s constantly spread. And life is what connects. Objects don’t connect, they’re disconnected.
A radically shared aliveness is a deep understanding, that the tiniest microbe, the smallest herbal plant, the largest tree and the biggest mountain, the poorest person, the richest person is a common earth being. We share our beingness with the Earth and the other beings. And all things are our relatives.
And the minute you have that radical perception, inequality just goes through the window. Hierarchy, domination, extraction, exploitation become meaningless. So, radically shared aliveness is celebrating life on Earth.
